To summarize, from another of his friends: "My best friend Cal is in desperate need of help.  He's a 29 year old trans man, who has been living with his family due to having issues with income.  He's self employed and makes a living selling amigarumis because he is unable to work a full time job due to chronic pain. Earlier today, after a verbal altercation with his father, who has been consistently unsupportive and detrimental to his emotional health, he attempted to end his life via overdose. He's now in the hospital, possibly facing a stay in the psychiatric ward, but does not have insurance.  He's going to be facing huge medical bills

(writing this mainly to get my overly-long previous entry off my front page--I'm not sure if dA has a "Read More" HTML tag or not.) As mentioned on my formal lit account, Falareste (https://www.deviantart.com/falareste), a number of things changed with life. The most important one, at least regarding this account, is that I've decided to allocate more time to learning how to draw well, giving up MMO gaming in the process. While I might log on every so often to check out updates, I'm effectively done with MMOs. I'm going to miss Tyria sorely, but I've been short on time for months, and ultimately had to decide between art or GW2. I just hope that one day, I'll be skilled enou
